With the headlines full of success stories like Taylor Swift, Beyonce, the Barbie movie, the USA women’s Olympic team, women’s college basketball and the WNBA, the past two years have seemed absolutely incredible for women. But is everything so rosy? We will take a look under the headlines to see how women are thriving and what they think about marketers today. We will present new research, talk to content leaders, and get a picture of today’s world. Think women are not your target? They only make 85% of all consumer purchases today.

Jamie Dunham is the founder and president of Brand Wise and co-host of the Lipstick Economy Podcast. Jamie’s experience includes research, brand strategy, strategic planning, account planning, and advertising, and her work has spanned a variety of marketplaces — healthcare, travel and hospitality, retail and restaurant marketing, professional services, non-profit, and faith-based communities. She has focused much of her career on marketing to women and thrives on creating cultural relevancy for brands.
Carla Swank Fox is an instructor in the Interactive Media program at MTSU’s College of Media and Entertainment. An accomplished writer, producer, technologist, and social strategist, Carla is co-founder and board chair of Craft Content Nashville and host of Artisanal Insights, a podcast featuring digital creators in Middle Tennessee. She is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Assessment, Learning, and Student Success at MTSU.

Kate Guerra is vice president of communications and corporate affairs for the Tennessee Titans. Since joining the organization in 2019, her role has continued to grow, centered around serving and engaging the Nashville and greater Tennessee communities. All of her responsibilities are focused on the same mission, which is to win, serve, and entertain.
Beverly Keel is Dean of MTSU’s College of Media and Entertainment and a music industry activist who works for gender and racial equality in the music industry. She was recently named a national “Change Agent” by Billboard for her efforts with Nashville Music Equality, which she co-founded in 2020 to create an anti-racist environment in the Nashville music industry. She is also an award-winning music journalist whose work has appeared in People, Parade, InStyle, New York, Rolling Stone, The Tennessean, and many other publications.
Becky Magura has been serving as president and CEO of Nashville PBS since September 2021. An established leader in public media, she has more than 40 years of experience in production, educational outreach, and management in public media. A native Tennessean, Becky has extensive service on numerous regional and national boards. She has received numerous awards, including a Nashville/Midsouth Regional Emmy, the Tennessee Governor’s Award for Excellence in Early Foundations, and the Cumberland Business Journal’s Ovation Award for Community Service.
Jennifer Turner joined TPAC in 2019 and has more than 20 years of experience in the arts. She previously served as the executive vice president and managing director at Segerstrom Center for the Arts and Acclaimed Arts Institution in southern California where she built a world-class leadership team, led innovative community initiatives, and spearheaded multi-million-dollar capital development projects, including the successful completion of the 56,000 square foot Julianne and George Argyros Plaza.
Panel moderator Melinda Hudgins Noblitt is Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at Asurion and leads Compassion Forward, the organization’s internal and external philanthropic efforts. Additionally, Melinda co-hosts Lipstick Economy Podcast to explore all aspects of marketing to women. Throughout her tenure at Asurion, Melinda has held numerous roles in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, Employer Branding, and Diversity Recruiting. Earlier this year, Melinda was named a Nashville Business Journal 40 Under 40 Award recipient.
