This session brings together voices from sports media, ownership, marketing, and content to explore what it takes to keep up with Nashville’s sports moment — and where it’s headed next.

Teresa Walker has been with The Associated Press for 36 years and is one of the AP’s eight writers helping cover the NFL. The five-time NSMA Tennessee Sportswriter of the Year and 2020 inductee of the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s Hall of Fame has covered seven Olympics and six Super Bowls. She covers the state of Tennessee and oversees Kentucky while specifically covering the Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators, Memphis Grizzlies and college sports.

Nancy VanReece is the president and CEO of the newly named Nashville Vibe, the sixth team in the UPSHOT League, a new professional women’s basketball league, featuring women’s basketball talent from around the world. A former Metro Council member (2015–2023), she was the Chair of the Convention, Entertainment and Tourism Committee and served on the advisory council to the Nashville Sports Authority, working diligently to bring professional women’s sports to the city.
Kate Guerra is vice president of communications and corporate affairs for the Tennessee Titans. Since joining the organization in 2019, her role has continued to grow, centered around serving and engaging the Nashville and greater Tennessee communities. All of her responsibilities are focused on the same mission, which is to win, serve, and entertain.
Chris Childers, panel moderator, is a Nashville-based, 20-plus year sports talk radio veteran, working predominantly for SiriusXM. He is the host of Full Ride (alongside Rick Neuheisel) and the SEC Today, and the owner of Show Pony Media, a multimedia sports platform. He has covered college football, basketball, and baseball from the inside out at the highest level.
